POTAWATOMI PARK MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL UPDATE MID JUNE 2008
It appears that mountain bike trails will be coming to Potawatomi Park. In a meeting with a WORBA (Wisconsin Off Road Bike Association) chapter, Bridget Brown, DNR trails coordinator, talked about a trail proposal in the park. As of now, time frame is not known.

DCSSA WORKS FOR YOU!!
DCSSA members have met (and will be meeting) with park management and are doing all we can to get trails here.

BE HEARD, NOT BORED!!
It is important that bikers as a park user group let the parks know that there are lots of us out there, and that anything the parks can do to promote biking would be appreciated. Potawatomi Park currently has no singletrack trails. There is riding available, however it is on a wide path used as a xc ski skate trail in the winter. It does not offer the type of riding most mountain bikers want.

LET POTAWATOMI PARK KNOW of your interest in establishing a singletrack biking trail: E-Mail Don McKinnon, Potawatomi Park manager:

REMEMBER
that park managers are people too!! They have a difficult job addressing the needs of all user groups. As a group (both DCSSA and mountain bikers as a whole) we would like to partner with the park in providing a good trail system and provide ample volunteers to maintain it.
