With guidance from and reflection upon our values, mission and vision statements, we have derived short and long term goals and specific and broader objectives.

SHORT TERM GOALS
1. Work with the City of Sturgeon Bay to develop a safe, aesthetic Egg Harbor RD.
2. Supply labor to Potawatomi Park for projects to make skiing on roads during low snow posssible.
3. Hold events to bring silent sports participants in contact.
4. Provide information about DCSSA,  silents sports recreation areas, and contacts on our web site

LONG TERM GOALS
1. Develop a high school XC SKI team
2. Establish a system of countywide trails
3. Develop a high school mountain bike team

FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS/VALUES
1. All people should have access to recreational outlets and areas.
2. We care about your sports.
3. Healthy is happy- Silent Sports people are happy people.
4. Quality of life is greatly influenced by Silent Sports.
5. Youth associated with Silent Sports become healthy, driven, well rounded adults.
6. The camaraderie in Silent Sports starts lifelong friendships.
7. The challenges and perserverance involved in Silent Sports apply to and benefit many other aspects of an individuals life.
8. Individuals can often times promote Silent Sports better than governmental institutions. (That's what we're all about!!)

MISSION
Door County Silent Sports Alliance, Inc. mission is to promote and enhance participation in the silent sports in Door County, including running, bicycling, XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and paddling. These sports contribute to a healthy & active lifestyle, and promote community involvement & preservation of our public land and water.  This is accomplished through youth programs, advocacy, education, partnerships with other groups, and event sponsorship, and is largely funded by member and public donations and grant funding.”

VISION
We want to live in a Door County where Silent Sports are promoted and participated in- where individuals enjoy good health and are assured of the conservation and access to our bountiful natural areas.
